Instead, she puts herself to sleep, and the baby remains in the mother's body. After about half an hour, Mary awakes and finds out that Dudley just brought her some food. Now, she understands why she'd been put in a cell for the past few days.Mary's story is about the abuse that she was exposed to. Yet, at the end of the day, she still kept her child inside her and told Dudley that she would not want to leave him.
